Connected Fleet Vision

From Hours-since-Last-Service to Predicted Rock-Drill Failure in 37 Hours

Telematics, predictive parts dispatch and compressor / rotary-head rebuild programs across every Atlas Copco drill rig and portable air compressor in your quarry or foundation fleet.

Service Pillars for Drill & Compressor Fleets

Equipment managers care less about brochure promises and more about whether a rotary-head seal kit, compressor valve plate or undercarriage shoe set reaches the pad before the next shift. These four pillars describe how Atlas Copco converts telematics signals into parts movement and documented mean time to repair.

Telematics-driven PM

CAN-bus and ISO 15143-3 AEMP feeds stream percussion hour counters, compressor discharge temperature and hydraulic system pressure envelopes to your fleet office every 30 seconds. Thresholds for pilot pressure drift and oil temperature trip planned maintenance before a weekend blast pattern is compromised.

AI Predictive Parts

Rotary-head bearing wear, compressor valve plate life and hydraulic ISO cleanliness are projected up to 37 hours ahead, with kits auto-dispatched from the nearest quarry-belt hub. Track shoe width wear and final-drive temperature trends are included when the carrier undercarriage is enrolled in the same contract.

Compressor Energy Retrofit

Older diesel compressor frames can be remapped for Stage V aftertreatment packages and variable-speed fans that cut idle fuel burn on standby drill pads. Retrofits keep free-air-delivery charts honest after altitude derate so DTH strings do not starve for flushing air mid-shift.

Autonomous Drill Pattern Pilot

Geofenced drill-pattern assist keeps hole spacing and burden consistent on pre-split benches while the operator supervises from a safe vantage outside the blast exclusion zone. Pattern logs export into your quality dossier alongside pile penetration depth records from foundation crews using rotary platforms on the same project.

Service bulletins cover rotary drilling torque recalibration, compressor FAD verification after cooler cleaning, and breaker tool change-out sequences. Field vans stock high-turn SKUs; slow-movers ship from regional hubs with serial-linked packing lists so receiving clerks can match kits to machine hours without rewriting purchase orders.

Out-of-scope for standard connected-fleet contracts: sites above ~2,500 m ASL without a signed altitude FAD derate addendum; non-Atlas Copco compressors feeding DTH strings; and underground mining development fleets that require separate fire-suppression and gas-monitoring packages. Those jobs are quoted as engineered exceptions, not catalog renewals.
